The Museum of Contemporary Art, Women on the Rise and the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival present a screening of Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992.
This film focuses on Audre Lorde’s relation to the German Black Diaspora, her literary as well as political influence, and is a unique visual document about the times the author spent in Germany.
Known as the museum “where new art is discovered,” MOCA is internationally recognized as a force in defining new trends and directions in contemporary art. The museum originates most of its own exhibitions, presenting an exciting mix of both emerging and legendary artists.
